Have recently bought a 1999 C5 Corvette was driving fine and all of a sudden it's started to have a kinda ratteling sound near the belt, wondering what needs fixing. Thought I should get other peoples opinions and see if someone else has had a similar issue. Have already replaced the tensioner.
Not really sure it looks like there might be a little wobble but it's not obvious.

Sounds like some bearings are starting to go. I'd take the belt off and "hand spin" your tensioner, water pump, power steering pump, alternator and listen for the noise. Pretty easy to isolate at that point.
I see you are in New Zealand. Is there any Corvette repair shops in the 'down under' that can sort out the noise. Otherwise, suggest taking it to a trusted mechanic and let them have a look.
I think your belt tensioner is starting to fail, but like Bill said above, easy enough to remove the belt for a few minutes to see if the noise goes away !
had a very similar noise and both idler pulleys and tensioner replacement did the trick ( belts too while there) pulleys were more evident when pulled. They would rattle when shook.
