I had an issue with the infamous RFA like many others and seemed to have solved my issue. My question is, is the somewhere to send the RFA and have it rebuilt/repaired or is the only remedy to take it apart and clean it, check soldered joint and wish for the best? Thanks for any help/suggestions.
I personally haven't heard about rebuilders for the rfa module, I routinely recommend G7 Computers for checkout or repairs for BCM or PCM, but don't know if they work on RFA modules.
Remote Function Adapter aka RCDLR. Responsible for keyless entry and TPMS.
03VetteGuy75 - if you can't find anyone to tackle it I would be willing to at least research it. I've gone through my climate control head replacing bulbs and reflowing the solder joints. I've also done a bunch of work on several modules in my C4.
Does anyone know if this board has conformal coating? I've never personally seen mine much less had it out to look inside.
I have had key fob problems for a few years, I finally just gave up on them.
Now all of a sudden the TPMs stopped working. Error code check says NO COMM (or something close) to the RFA.
Is this anything common lately? Any solution?
But the big question is how do I get the RFA out of the car? I pried loose the sticky tape but the back seems stuck to the stud(?) that the
cargo net attacment screws onto. I can't see under there very well but it looks like it might have some kind of speed clip on the stud?
