Default New tire question

I am at the point where I almost need new tires. Here is my concerns. I can keep run-flats or buy non run-flats. If I buy run-flats and get a flat on the road I can drive about 50 miles, then I guess the tire is ruined. If I need to replace that tire I will need a service center that can handle run-flats. With non run-flats any service center can mount a new tire.

This has me leaning toward non run-flats, what are your thoughts?

i felt the same way as you do. Even if you get 50 miles to a service station i am 99% sure they are not gonna have emt's in stock. so you end up buying one non runflat to get you home or gettin it pluged (if it is not ruined). I ditched my run-craps last fall and bought bfg kd's ,bigger tires= more grip and much much better ride and feel. It's kinda a catch22 so you might as well get the better ride with the good rubber. Just remember if you keep the sensors and try leak-goo when you get a flat you will kill the sensor forever! You will also kill the sensor if ya get a blowout at high speed. Its a sacrifice (and chance) i don't mind takin. LUV THE G-FORCE'S they ripppp :chevy

I don't feel like I'm giving up much with the new generation run-flats. If my choice was the old Goodyears, I'd switch in a New York minute.l

Is there such a thing as a compact spare that will fit the vette? Is there a big reason why you shouldn't do this?
