Default Grounding points

Does anyone have a list of what electric components each grounding point controls?

There are actually 13 points. 12 if you consider the unused ground stud in the passenger side rear wheel well (actually used on 97/early 98s) THREE ON THE ENGINE: G-107 behind the the drivers cylinder head for the coil grounds . & G-106 passengers side engine block above the starter = Battery to engine main ground and the PCM to engine ground. G-105 has a flat braded wire that goes from G-103 to a ground bolt G105 on the drivers side of the block forward of the oil filter housing..

G-104 on top of the frame just forward and outboard of the battery is referred to as G-104/108 in some manuals. Its the main ground from battery to chassis and by God, that one needs to be clean and tight!!! The plastic battery surround has one tab that fits over the stud.

Do not forget about ALL the Splice Packs all over the car that collect the various grounds from several components in one area and it sends those grounds via one wire to one of the main G-XXX points.

FACT: NONE of the ground connectors or splice packs are water tight and are always exposed to weather, .moisture, salt etc.. C6 eliminated those black plastic ground connectors and just solder all those wires into a ring terminal and attach that to the stud. Many people have done the C6 ground conversion. LOL!
