Depends on the usage. Daily driver I'd change after 6-7 years. Stored indoors, climate controlled, no sun or weather rot, parade duty a few times a season I might go 15.

I'm sure that you'll take a bit of FLAK for that reply, but I more or less agree with you. I'm the original owner of my C-5, so over the last 22 years, I have replaced the tires, a couple of times. However as "Dad" suggested, if the tires are out of the elements, they should last longer than the 4-6 years that many people suggest. Along that line, at the first tire change, I also got a set of aftermarket wheels, because I've always personalized my cars with different wheels.
What I did, was keep the old tires on the OE rims, and I use them to store the car in the winter. The "good" tires, on the aftermarket wheels, spend their summer time on a garaged car, or off the car, in a heated basement, during the winter. Hopefully, that extends their useful life.
Run em till the bald, go flat, or start cracking at the sidewall Oldest set of tires i've run were 30 years old hahahahha. fine for bombing around town...but wouldnt take em on a 500 road trip. If they are holding air, are not cracking at the sidewall, and have tread...drive em.
I think how you store the car is an important part of the math. If they are outside the UV from the sun will accelerate the breakdown of the rubber in the sidewalls. My wife's old Focus had noticeable cracks on the sidewalls after 8 years of barely using the car but sitting outside. My Corvette had 20 year old tires when I got it, while they didn't have cracks, I had no confidence in them and replaced them the next day.
Also I hear run-flats hold up better for longer, but that's based on not much information.
