Default Shocks: Ridetech vs DRM Bilstein

Considering these two for new shocks on my C5Z, anyone have any comparison between them?

Thanks,
Chris

most people go with C6z shocks. Direct bolt on replacement.

The DRM Bilsteins are much better than the C6Z shocks for handling. Even the 2004Z shocks are better. The C6Z shocks were made to handle the extra weight of the 427 engine so your car will ride a little higher. The big advantage of the C6Z shocks is they are inexpensive. Having autocrossed/HPDE a C5 for the last 20+ yrs I ( avg. over 200 runs/yr) have ran all three shocks and currently run the DRM shocks as my choice..

I currently have the bilstein sports because I was told they are for Z51 suspension, will the DRM have a better ride? This is a street use car only.

No, the DRM Bilsteins will give you better handling, the ride will be similar to the regular Bilsteins

If you just want better shocks for a daily driver, the C6 ZO6s are a great bang for the buck. If you are looking for performance handling, follow Gordys advice.

OH,, The C6 ZO6 shocks put the smile back on my face from dealing with my worn 02 ZO6 36,000 mile shocks! They didn't break the bank either.
