Default Clutch damage

Was going to install new Luk LS7 clutch today and found damage. I noticed everything was loose in box. Should I install this clutch?

While I obviously don't have your clutch disc in front of me, I seriously doubt that I would install it. Just too much involved in taking it back out again.
The damage to the disc edge makes me wonder if there is other, less obvious damage. Who did you get the clutch from? Was the obviously poor packaging from the vendor of from Luk themselves?

Do not install, get a replacement.

It came from rockauto in a Luk box. Everything seemed to just be loose in the box.

Same with Amazon. Luk box, but pressure plate all scratched up. And Luk not stamped on friction disc. Ended up going down to local napa and orderingthrough Napa. It was like 10 or 20 bucks more but worth it. It was a Luk clutch in Napa box, but pressure plate no scratches and stamped Luk on the plate.

Was it sold as a Luk clutch or as a NAPA?

Default Follow up question

I have already installed the flywheel from this kit. Should I remove it and use flywheel from replacement kit? I already have this one torqued down, but I don’t know if the Luk Ls7 assemblies are balanced together.

Unless the pressure plate and flywheel are somehow match marked to ensure a specific orientation, they are not balanced.

Not sure. Luk I think but in a NAPA box. But no scratches, nicks, damage etc.

The kit doesn’t come with a fly wheel unless you bought separate.

The kit usually just comes with pressure plate, friction or clutch disc, alignment tool and pilot bearing if I’m not mistaken.
