Default C5Z shocks - better compression/rebound?

So I've done the searching, I know the C6Z shocks are a common and good upgrade over old shocks.
I also understand the Bilstein B8 is a good choice, and perhaps the DRM valved Bilsteins.

I'm looking for a recommendation to solve the bad compression/rebound I'm experiencing on my daily drive. I drive a levee road every day and it has some bad undulations (dips/rises) in the pavement. Speed limit is 55. I can do about 57 and keep the car happy. 65mph literally has me bounce out of the seat and hit my head on the roof.

My car is lowered on stock bolts (too low currently). I want to keep a low look but understand that C6Z ones raise it and if you lower on the bolts with those you loose travel?

So I'm not looking for max track times or crazy racing, just don't want the car to bounce me out of the seat on these intense undulations from the road.

While I'm not familiar with your dilemma I have Konis on my track Z06 and they are fully adjustable. They were installed by the previous owner but I dont think they alter the ride height. Might work well in your situation.

I had C6 Z06 shocks on my 99 and was very pleased for in-town driving and spirited driving. Direct bolt up and affordable.

When looking at common shocks for the C5 based on stiffness/compression/rebound they are:
DRM valved Bilstein
204 Z06
Bilstein
C6 Z06
A good source for used C6 Z06 shock is in the C6 parts section as they are sold to go for better shocks usually the DRM valved ones

I contacted Bilstein and they recommended the B6 model for my 2004 CE which is lowered .75 inch on factory bolts. I love my car even more now.
