Default Trunk problems on convertible
I have a 2000 convertible I just bought a month ago. I cannot get the trunk open. The trunk/ fog lights BUTTON doesn’t work. I checked all the fuses and harness going to trunk button. One wire is hot on the end. The old key fob didn’t work so I bought a new fob. My doors unlock and lock with new fob but trunk doesn’t open. i did change trunk relay under passenger floor board but didn’t fix.I don’t hear a noise either trying to open it. I don’t have a service manual. Can anyone please tell me a fuse number or am I missing or something else. I’m out of ideas? They are not any videos I can find on this issue online

Check fuse 39 in pass footwell

Let me know if you need help with the wiring schematic or troubleshooting procedure…helped someone maybe 6 months ago with this issue but I can’t remember what the fix was !!

The fog lights will not work unless the headlight switch is in parking or higher.
