All C5 have the domestic and european Gauge readouts, if you go to options in your DIc you can change them back and forth. If it does this on its own, I think you have a loose ground.

I found an old post with exactly the same problem, something is failing on the main PC board. That person found a business that repairs dash clusters, do a internet search and you will find several business that specialize in dash cluster repairs.
