I really thought i was helping him out by installing them beforehand.

thanks, I've always admired his work. Way back when I had my 98 Trans Am I dreamed of putting one of his engines in it. So when I was shopping around for a short block I called and left a message as well as emailed them and I didn't get a response back.

Ok,one barrier solved. What's the new plan for the LS2?
Thank you, so I was going to go with a L92 but didn't feel comfortable with that at this time. So I went and got a 6.0 from thompsonmotorsports.net I figured it would be a little more cost effective to re use all the new parts i just installed in the LS1. The new block has some decent stuff. Callies crank, K1 rods, Carrillo pistons etc. Rated for 1000 hp. Gives me room to play down the road. The company extended me a discount and changed the reluctor wheel out for me. Easy to work with.

That sounds AWESOME.

From one who has gone there. Unless you want a drag track only car that "one thousand" number is mostly for marketing. The most I've run and still had fun with is 625rw. I ran the 427/SC 16psi E85 for all of two weeks last summer and as fun as it is to scare yourself the car ends up ileirher in cruise mode perpetually because anything more than that turns tires into their gaseous state or you're out somewhere with three lanes open and giving it a goose and then running out of straight road and slowing down again. That car was over 1krw. NA h/c somewhere between 450 and 550rw sounds epic. Or a small displacement (stock) with a small cam and nice bottom end with a turbo with Mac valves.... That let's you do anything you want all up and down the performance range.
