Default Correct Tire Pressure

I do not have the same tires and wheels my '98 came with. Now I have:Front: 275/35R18 95Y

Rear: 305/30R19 102Y

What should I put in each?

You ask " What should I put in each?
Answer: any gascompound will do.

Can make a cold pressure/axleload list for both your tires, with build in maximum reserve, at wich comfort and gripp is still acceptable.
For that I give 90% of axleloadcapacity calculated for the pressure for 160kmph/99mph, wich then is max speed to use.

Then you can go back to basics and " ONLY" have to determine the axleloads in your use 99% acurate, the most tricky part and your responcibility. Estimating is dangerous.
Carmakers use GAWR's and max technical carspeed for recomended pressure on the plate, if they calculate, and not yust give extreme high pressures like 42 or 44 psi.

Have to google your tires first if XL, or you check it.
And give if you want it in KG or LBS, PSI or Bar, or higher max speed ( wich you wont go over for even a minute), or have other idea about the reserves.

Edit: googled front 95Y to be standard load, XL is 99Y.
So front maxload AT 36 psi
Rear 102Y is XL, so rear maxload AT 42 psi.

Go by the pressures in your owners manual, and also posted on the drivers side door near the latch mechanism, spec'd by the people who built it. For my 2000, it is 30lb. F&R......

I have found with my Michelin AS runflats it helps to keep pressures a little on the low side to keep the center tread from weaing out.

Whatever pressure puts the tread footprint down evenly. I use 30psi in my fronts and 28psi in my rears.

The manufacturer recommends 30 psi cold - that is what I would run in the tires.

If you'd like, go to TireSize.com and use their Tire Pressure Calculator where they will calculate out the difference (if any): Tire Pressure Calculator (tiresize.com)

The recommended is just a general number. You can start there but read the wear.

If they wear more in the center of the tread reduce pressure. If they are feathering and or wearing more on the outside edges increase the pressure.

These general numbers can vary depending on how you drive, how much weight is in the car and the type of tire you are using.

Do not over think this just start out at 30 watch for wear and it will tell you what you if you need adjustment.

I've had two C5s and two C6s All do the best with 30 fronts and 28 rears.
I have CCW 505a rims on my 02 ZO6 and they are both wider and lower profile than OEM. I find that 30 in the fronts and 28 in the rears works the best. It puts the best foot print down and makes the tire wear evenly across the tire. If I take the car on a trip and load the car, I increase the pressures to 33 front and 32 in the rears and reduce it when the load is no longer in the car.. I have driven from the COLD North East to the HOT South West and had to stop along the way to reduce tire pressure as the change in outside temps went from 32 deg to 90 degs. and the tires became over pressurized. I had to stop and refill them on the way back home.

When I first bought my C5 and drove it home from Atlanta to Idaho, I got a high pressure warning going over Independence Pass (elevation 12,000). I came to the conclusion that the system does not compensate for altitude or not very well. Difficult to figure from ideal gas laws since you don't know how the volume changes with pressure.

Temps are going to change pressure 2-3 psi generally on street tires.

if you light comes on you were low to start.

you may not notice but not brakes can increase fron tires 1-2 psi.

1-4 psi variation is not that critical on the street.

Like I said don’t over think this.

That 388lb figure may be the most frequently violated spec in Corvette history!!

If you now also can find the GAWR's and GVWR, we come a little closer to the answer for topicstarter.

Main goal of pressure determination is to give the tire a deflection that gives no overheated tire-material driving the speed its determined for.

Tires are so constructed, that then roadcontact is also best.

For that weight on tire is used and max speed, you wont go over for even a minute.

Not to pick your post apart, but that label is NOT from a C5. No C5 came with 275/18s front or 325/19s on the rear. Info may, or may not, be the same.......

I was curious so I looked up the VIN on the sticker. That sticker is from a 2012.
