Ya it was sketchy, but I’m not going to preach. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I bought a quick jack last year on sale from Sam’s club. It’s been one of the better purchases I’ve made. I’ve found a lot of uses other than the car to make it worth the cost. Changing mower blades on my zero turn and I’ve went back to doing my own oil changes. It works really good outside in the driveway when washing cars. Being able to get underneath every now and again to clean things up is kinda cool.
When I finish working today I hopefully can button up my car and fire it up. I changed the heads, intake headers injectors and TB. I also deleted the mass air and cats plus the heads are milled. I have a HP tuners so I’m hoping I can adjust enough to get it to the shop. If not I’ll have a tow bill. The car is to low for our group use car trailer or any other I have accessible. Not feeling very optimistic on avoiding the tow bill.
Nice man that will be a massive upgrade! I sent my PCM in for a mail in tune but next time I’ll definitely get an HP Tuner. I learned so much in such a short time through this install. More than I ever wanted to learn hehe.

No cam to go with the heads?
Already has a BTR stage 3 cam. The previous owner had it installed before I bought the car.
The car ran great but I already had the heads and they were new. The shop did a great job on install and tune but reused the 50,000 mile lifters. It was an older guy who I think really just liked the sound of the cam.
Figured if I was going to change lifters I should just do it all proper. The balancer was at least done when they did the cam along with a new Macleod twin disk and flywheel. I already installed coilovers new sways and links. At this point there is nothing really left stock aside from the shortblock and drivetrain. I have the 3:90 gear from my old car so that may go in. I’m going to drive it with the 3:42 for a few weeks then swap. Pretty easy to change those out if you ever have to.
I found out yesterday that Haggerty will still insure me and cover the car if there isn’t an airbag. I really want a proper wheel for when I Autocross etc. I know it’s frowned upon but I see a Sparco R353 in my future
I absolutely love the car so I’ve went past the point of resale value by a huge amount. Definitely a keeper
Well im making good progress now. Got everything in loose but I swear I think LG made a silly mistake. I think they welded the 02 bungs on the xpipe on the wrong side. It lines up perfectly with the bungs facing down asking to get ripped off by a speed bump. When I flip it the right way the left pipe is like an inch short and has slack when the right side is taught… I swear the reason I spend so much on a god damn exhaust was to avoid THIS VERY SITUATION! Gonna reach out tomorrow and see what’s up. I don’t think it would effect function but for this kind of money they better give be a PERFECT product!
Clearly can see the left side is shorter than the right from the header onwards.

The lambda sensor bungs should not face downwards. You have those pipes upside down ... and perhaps backwards.
Well I know the headers aren’t backwards 🤣🤣🤣. I can’t turn it around because the slips would be on the wrong side and of course flipped it’s clearly the wrong length. It fits up perfectly with the bungs facing down and I swear I looked at it and fit it up quite a few times to make sure I wasn’t being a moron (impossible). When I fit it up with the bungs up how it should be there is clearly a length discrepancy. I guess I’ll take another shot at it this weekend lol. Maybe LG will get me sorted tomorrow.
Your system is different. I don’t have a slip fitting right after the collector. I wish mines did because that would have made instal so much easier. Although I’m sure the X pipe is still the same shyte..

Remember, for every one gallon of fuel burned, approximately one gallon of water is produced. Liquid water condensing in the pipe will kill your lamba sensors if the sensors are mounted in the bottom 180 degrees of the pipe. They need to be up top, similar to how GM fitted them.
If the x-pipe won't fit your headers with the lambda sensors oriented correctly, perhaps LG mis-labeled, mis-packaged, or otherwise somehow sent you the wrong pipes.

I mean forget the water build up, if they go in on the bottom they will 100% be ripped off the moment I leave my neighborhood.
I am 100% not installing it upside down even if I end up doing it with the right side having the slip fittings taught and the left has some slack. I have the header bolts just threaded on a few turns so maybe they need to be flush with the block to really confirm this but I wiggle them around and it’s very little variation in the orientation so I don’t have high hopes.
I'd look at how other people have installed the LG system and give them a call. If they are unwilling to help you may want to consider taking it to an exhaust shop to weld in new bungs. Sucks that its given you so much trouble hopefully by posting this, others can see what they're getting themselves into with this kit.
Not sure how much help this will be but my LG Pro 1-3/4" Long Tube 32" Headers #LGC5SP134 and their 3" catted X-Pipe #2139, has the O2 bungs in the headers just past the collectors, but as you can see they are pointed upwards.

This is how mine LG 1-7/8 set looked after first install (had to partially do again it later, because starter died and might have to do it again in future because of adding cats... ). At first pic position of X and straight pipes (cats place) is swaped.

Reason: info added
I have indeed confirmed with LG that it was welded upside down… I don’t like to believe in bad luck, but the fact that I waited an insanely long time for the axle back on top of this being upside down is just crazy… LG is a great company but damn they really dropped the ball with me. Than being said everything is bolted up and fits wonderfully (with the xpipe upside down) and I’m gonna just run it with only the primaries and get it dyno tuned. I will keep you all posted and post the numbers. Should I start a new thread or just tack it onto this one?
You have had a hell of a time with this. Glad you're getting it all straight.
I would need Tommy John surgery from throwing so much stuff.
It keeps getting better… Finally found drive to finish the rest of the system during the week and after a second failed attempt to plasti dip that rear diffuser section everyone does to the C5 (I swear no matter what I do it peels the plasti dip edge and never makes a straight line… I’m even using knife-less tape and only one coat so it’s still wet) and struggling with everything… I get to the last pipes before the axle back and the last 2 clamps are too damn small… I have them maxed out before they fly off the bolt and I can’t even get it on the small side, let alone the piece that slips over… They are gonna try to overnight new ones but god damn man… I did fire the car up though and it seems to run great. Sounds like a funny car with no exhaust 🤣🤣🤣.
