I kinda wish mine wasn't sprayed with anything.

Did you get it to stick?

Just wanted to update everyone that I finally got this damn job wrapped up. I want to thank you all for chiming in with knowledge and support.
She absolutely screams now. Real genuine massive difference in power and that’s just with the flash/intake/header. I feel like I must have fixed something along the road because the power difference is more than just headers and a flash. Dyno tune will happen later next week.
I ended up having to cut an inch off of one of the test pipes and that was enough to get it all to line up. LG was making me a custom length one while I was messing around and just happened to get it working while they made it 🤣🤣🤣. I called them and told them the good news, I have been driving them crazy for the last 2 weeks (rightfully so!).
Now that it’s done I freaking love it. It’s probably quieter than the stock exhaust w/ a muffler delete but just uncorks under heavy load! Still gotta mess with getting the tips perfectly aligned but it fits well.
Thanks again everyone!

Glad to hear you got it sorted out.
I’ve been getting to drive my car this last week or so sucks when they’re down for a while like that.
Give an update once you’re tuned.

Well hot damn it made great power! Was mid 70’s here in palm beach. I’m totally stoked!
The tuner told me the flash tune was way too lean so I would recommend a proper tune because he had to let off the first baseline pull after 4k rpm. Gotta hand it to LG and I guess Vararam because that’s all that is on the car and I never thought I’d hit 400 wheel on a mustang Dyno. Could just be a generous Dyno after all.
The best mod! Car sounds phenomenal but is still very street friendly but now I have real grunt behind the noise. It’s pretty wild how much faster the car is now!

Here is a link to the dyno pull on youtube
I got the exhaust pretty much perfect now. It was all jacked up when I got it tuned because I ran out of time and energy.

Gonna tidy up and finish them tomorrow because I’m gassed! Thank you all so much for your help!

I wish I read your post a few days ago. I finally got driver side in, hope to do passenger side this week. Instead of using wood, I bought 4x8x16 concrete blocks from Home Depot. About 1.50 each. I put them under the wheels and keep going up that way. I broke a lot of **** in the process, so car may never run again, but the lg long tubes will look great.

Ohh man I hope you get it sorted out! They are honestly great headers once done, but god damn without previous experience they are really a nightmare to get it!

Yeah, passenger side is a huge pain in the ***. These are American Racing Headers I just installed on my 2004 Z06.

I installed the passenger side today, I removed the starter and that ac line, so it was quick. I need to recharge the ac, not a big deal, but I can’t get the starter back in. I will have to disconnect the headers again tomorrow so I can hook the starter back up. Such a pain in the ***. The other thing is they welded the heater hose connection to the wrong cylinder, I will probably need to remove the intake manifold and reroute all those hoses.

what did you do for your secondary air system? Tune it out or rig up some kind of extension?

The tuner will tune out the CEL for secondary O2.
If you are referring to the AIR system, I just left on. I want to remove it but I would need block off plates and honestly don’t feel like doing anything else to the car for a while. It’s a good weight reduction, especially off the far front end of the nose of the car.

Just rip it all out.
I did when I put my Fast 92 on along with a catch can.
No need for any block off plates just a little rubber nipple cap for the intake port.

The headers have small ports sticking up to inject the air back into the exhaust system so you do need to block those off.
Next power mod will be a cam and valve train upgrade. Whenever that happens but that won’t be for quite some time seeing as I need to address the body and interior before I start adding more power.
