O2 sensor failed AGAIN
Have an ‘04 Z06 that spends most of its time on track doing hpde. This past weekend, p0155 code popped up AGAIN while at VIR. This same O2 sensor has died and been replaced 3 times already (in the past year) and am at a loss as what to do.
From reading here, my guess is the long tube headers are the likely culprit.
Couple questions…
Can anyone suggest a more permanent fix to try, rather than throwing O2 sensors at it?
What are the ramifications of ignoring it?
When the code throws at an event, I finish out the weekend and then have it replaced when I get home. However, this week I’m back on track in a couple days and my local shop can’t get me in in time, so I’m looking at two more days on track with the bad sensor. Am I hurting anything?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 😃

Now as far as solution, is your car tuned for your mods? It's possible you're running super lean or rich with your mods and burning/fouling up your O2 sensor. I'm just throwing out guesses I know nothing about your car.
P0155 is the heater circuit of Bank 2 (passenger side of engine). Easy stuff is to check fuses and grounds. Next is to check the wiring haness, making sure it isn't pinched or burning up on your headers somewhere.
Wiring diagram here for '98 - Note your pinouts may be different, but fuses and grounds should be similar.

Going to go ahead and run at Road Atlanta this weekend, then back to the shop. Talked to the mechanic, he just did a swap of the OEM sensor last time. He’s going to spend more time next week trying to get at the root of the case.
Finally, glad to hear the passenger side is easier…was watching some YT videos, and man the drivers side looks difficult!
