Default engine swap issues

have a 99 vette, just swapped the engine with ls3 rebuilt. prior to the swap we were having various electical issues that would come and g. after the swap installer was having issues getting the camshaft pos sensor to read on hp. checked wires and 3 diff camshaft sensors, all good. decided to give it a go anyways, got 5 miles down the road and car stalled. would not start back up for 20-30 mins. (when we got the car last year we did research a knew the pcm/battery flaws with the c5, the day we got it we checked the battery and sure enough. was leaking. replaced it that day). with that in mind we went ahead and ordered the new pcm for "all computer resources" programmed to our vin. swapped it out and no fire. opted to buy the hp credits to disable vats and security crap. no fire.... hooked up the old pcm... same thing (when car was parked it was running). ign is reading 12v. at a loss. HEEEEELLLP !

OK, a 99 CMP uses a 1X reluctor and an LS3 such as my LS3 2008 uses a 4X reluctor so right there you have some differences…the 99 PCM if that is what you’re using is looking for the 1X and your LS3 has the 4X so it’s not gonna work…the 99 CMP uses a 12 volt feed for that Hall Effect sensor and my LS3 uses a 5 volt feed so you have differences there also…connector pin out are different too !!…now as far as CRANKSHAFT position sensor the LS3 uses a 58 tooth reluctor on 2006 and above and 24 tooth reluctor on a 2005 same as a 1999…you may need a conversion kit to make this all work.

Reasons like this is why I wouldn't do a swap unless I had a shop that had done it before, which I don't.
