They confirmed it is gone. Never is a time that we wish to see this. But it is a danger every Aviator/Crew understands..sometimes the general public loses that understanding..I hope that they are not forgotten. 2 Shuttle losses at the same time of the year Jan 29th and Feb 1st. My thoughts and respect is with them as for anybody that is so bold. :flag :(

My best friend has been up on two shuttle missions. I've had the honor to meet some of his fellow astronauts and their families. We have lost 7 of the most dedicated individuals you will ever meet in any profession. Not until you've spent time with them can you truly appreciate how special they are.

Gentleman we have lost some of our vey best. These days when people think of sport stars as Heroes. These people were the real thing. If they dance in the streets in the middle east over this I would like to send them a little present from down in the silos in Nebraska!
