Default 2000 Keyless Question

Ok, so, I tried to search the forum but man, it is a bear.

I have replaced my receiver and for awhile everything worked fine.

So, a year later, nothing working.

TPMS works fine. This tells me the receiver is working fine.

So I put a new battery in and did the Learning process. Right after I did it, they thing worked ONCE.

I've tried to re-learn (holding the two buttons down) but nothing.

The remote looks fine to my eyes but I'm thinking it is time to get a new one?

What do you wizened veterans say?

Thanks. Keep Rock Alive!! 🤘🏽🖤🔥🙌🏼 ℁ 👋🏼 Save The Wave! #Corvette

Replacement fobs for the 2000 are way more expensive than the -01 to -04 system, that said I would replace the fob first and see if that fixes your issues.

Long term though, the later -01/-04 system is one hell of an upgrade over the earlier tpms/fob system. I converted mine a few years back and the later fobs are much cheaper and have a much greater range of operation

Here's a link to the conversion with part numbers if you want to go that route.

The receivers are hard to come by but they're still out there. Here's one w/o a case currently for sale

****Edit*** sorry, for some reason the forum is putting the puke emoji in the ebay link so it won't work. Just do a manual search and you should find it

Take a look for cold/broken solder joints on the remote's PCB

Ok, so I got the eBay keyless fob and it won't learn.

It came with a battery so next step is to put a fresh one in just in case that is the problem.

The numbers on the back of the key fob are different than stock but I bought the 2000 model that said it required. The insides look different too:

Stock unit on left, new unit on right.
