Default Need AC compressor for C5, HELP!

Good morning forum!

I am usually in the C7 forum. My uncle has a C5 and needs to replace the AC compressor and he can't seem to find one online anywhere to order.

We think the OEM compressor was made by Delphi (AC Delco) and they dont' seem to make it anymore.

Any options or help is greatly appreciated!

Jeff

You will not find a delphi, delco, valeo, etc. They are gone....unless someone has rebuilt one, or a rare NOS find. You can order new or reman compressors from most auto parts stores locally, and Rock Auto online.

You are correct that Delphi and AC Delco stopped selling OEM service compressors a few years ago. The only new service compressors are made by non GM suppliers.

I am not endorsing this seller but they have NOS OEM compressors. It is likely they were manufactured in the early 2000’s.

ebay is another possibility. I bought a NOS Delphi service compressor on ebay a year or 2 ago to have as a spare because my OEM unit has a body oring leak and one of these days I will replace it.

You can buy a kit that includes a compressor, condenser, orifice tube, receiver drier/ accumulator and o-ring set for $268.99 at Rockauto.
