18 months ago I changed the diff fluid. Now when I pull out of my driveway, everything is cold, I go straight for about 10 feet then turn as hard as you can to the left, ( 90 degrees ) I get a thumping noise from the rear until the car straightens out. There are about 3-4 thumps. I'm thinking it is the diff. Any other thoughts?

Did you ever have the rear axles out? And did you add a little grease to the axle splines (into the wheelbearings) when you put the car back together? I'd start there before pulling the diff. Quick and cheap before going deep.
Great question: When I purchased the car about 20 months ago, it had a Diff leak drivers side. Not at the seal itself but at the oring at the round cover that holds the seal held in by 6-7 bolts. I had to remove the left axle and some other stuff to replace the oring and do another type of sealant per the Technical Service Bulletin. I used the You Tube video from" Toys4Life" on how to do this which were great instructions, and yes, I did clean and lube the spline.
My car has done this as well. I used diff oil that said approved for PosiTraction. I change the oil again and added a bottle of the limited slip additive and the problem went away. Put the additive in first.
Drain a little gear lube out/few ounces and add the GM additive. Top off with your flavor of appropriately rated gear lube. Or just change it out like Lucky said. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ado-10-4003
