I have a 2004 Corvette C5 Coupe has issues with the driver side window switch. Sometimes it would work after many key presses, other times not.
So I bought a replacement from one of numerous ebay sellers. Got it and found the connector was not exactly the same. The new one had a wide tab in the key slot.
Here is the car's connector. I have broken off some of the connector key in an attempt to make it fit.
Here is the part number shown of the original connector, 10318809. The newer part number (superseding the old) is 19209381.
Has anyone made these cheap clone switches work? Or should I attempt to fix my old one?
I went through this a few years back. I returned all the aftermarket ones I tried. And found a good used one that was in excellent condition. Problem solved.

Did all the aftermarket ones have the wrong connector? Or were you able to plug in the connector and the switch didn't work right?
Reason I ask is the seller is offering a discount if I make mechanical changes to the connector to make the connectors fit. Once I mod their connector, I can't return it.
I could make an adapter (buy 2 connectors from mouser.com that match the car connector and the aftermarket switch, wire them together). Probably too much work and the connectors would cost a lot. I have not found any used ones around.
I didn’t have any problems connecting the used oem part to my car. I didn’t pay that close attention to what you’re pointing out. But it works and it’s installed.

Why go to all that trouble when the correct part is available? Mid-America a Zips both stock this switch.
Amazon has them for $30. Looks correct. Reviews are high too.
Really a dice roll to get good parts from Amazon. I strongly advise against procuring any auto parts from Amazon and ebay auto....unless it is a used part removed from working car.

3rd party retailers such as zips buy the parts from the same suppliers as amazon. They are all the same parts. Chinese crap. If parts are a concern, buy from GM direct. Moreover, Amazon has much better return policy.

Unfortunately GM has discontinued that part. No longer available.
I did look on Amazon and found the part. Several reviews said the connector did not fit and posted pictures exactly like mine above. So it is a crap shoot.

yes. That is why I purchased a used item. But it cost me $350. If you don’t want to spend that money, just get aftermarket and make that clip work. Those are basically the only alternatives. This is why I don’t use aftermarket parts. Fitment is always poor.
I recently purchased a lower radiator support from the following: Zips, Amazon, corvette America, top flight, eBay, and Marc at vette nuts. All drop shipped from the same supplier. 😂
I could give about 17 other examples. 23 years of ownership. I know this car and parts well.
