I feel like a dumb dumb having to ask because it seems so strait forward. When installing the bezels they poke past the front bumper. They don’t line up with the two back screws where the headlight cover connects to the assembly. When they do line up, the bezel sticks out past the bumper. (picture below) Does anyone who installed them have any insight or run into any issues installing them?
You have to raise your stop bolt/jam nuts so the lights don't come up as high. This will lower the bezel so that the lower bezel lip does not come up beyond the front bumper. Then, being lower now, you'll need to raise your headlights with the goldenrods because after lowering the lights overall, they'll be pointing in the dirt.
I had to do this procedure to my passenger side and it came out better.
Here's before, with the lower bezel lip being too high
Here's after lowering
@Traviper
Let me know if you need any additional help
Set the max height of the assembly to 5.25" from the frame rail to the top of the bracket the lid mounts to. This is the official height in the documentation for the install.
How do you adjust the fore/ aft of the lights? My bezel on the driver side- most right light when looking at the car- is much closer to the inside of the bezel then the middle and left light pods. I cant figure out for the life of me how to adjust that aspect....
@Traviper Did you happen to get the bezels to fit properly? I’m having a similar issue but set my lights at 5.25” when I installed them so I’m hesitant to lower any further. Thank you
In addition on lowering the riser- i had to adjust the golden rods to the the bottom of the bezel seated just right relative to the bumper. Kind of a PIA with having to align the headlight cover over and over. Finally got it acceptable after a while.
Mine shook when on rough roads. I had removed the orig white stop and installed the new thicker black rubber stop included with the kit on the inboard tang (just behind the pivot point) but it wasn't making contact with the lid support. Got a pair of pliers on the tang and bent it upwards sightly. Now I'm getting contact between the black stop and the lid support. No more shake.
After adjusting the tang, you need to verify that the "adjustable stop" is still what's stopping upwards movement of the light assy. If tang is bent too far upwards, it can become the "stop". You want both stops making contact. I was able to verify contact with the adjustable stop with a mirror/flashlight.
^ I don't think FB videos work without having an account but here it is:

However I believe you can only see it if you're a member after joining the group
note that I'm no social butterfly, believe me. I joined FB to get more info on these lights and the info in there is second to none

Thanks for trying, I genuinely appreciate it. I used to be a member on the Knight drive FB, but I cancelled FB a couple years ago. I have some adjustment questions and I'm not positive how to find the answers. I just installed the new brackets today. I have one of the original versions and the bezels required a bracket upgrade. They sit great up and down, but my inner most light pod (towards the center of the car) is set back too far towards the rear of the car and bezel has a big gap around that particular pod. The gap gets much better as it goes down the row to the outer most pod. Any advice would be appreciated. All I can think to try is the headlight aiming screw, but it seems like it has to travel quite a bit to sit correctly and then won't my lights be pointed out to the side too far?
I received my bezels last week. My lights were set up with the correct dimensions - 5.25in. The headlights were adjusted so the lights are not blinding on coming traffic and are not shining too high or low. So everything is adjusted as they should be. The bezels installed flush and the bolts lined up perfectly. No issues at all........
I'll try to.grab a picture after work and post it. Thanks for.the advice. Mine are also set to 5.25". Height is great, more of an in and out issue I'm having
In the photo, the left light pod, which is closest to the center of the car, doesn't seat against the new bezel. Is this a matter of turning the shorter of the gold rods/aiming rods? Thanks everyone for the advice. I don't have FB anymore to see the videos that I hear Damien posted about the adjustments
