What was the read on the old BBK 80mm LS1/LS6 dbw throttle body? I never saw these much but suddenly I own one with the blue coupe.
I have not taken it apart so I don't know if it or the LS6 manifold it is paired to have been at all ported or port matched. I am curious if it has any noted flow benefit or ease of tuning vs OEM.
I also wonder if it opens faster than OEM.
I'm trying to decide if it is something I might prefer to use on the Z06 with the blower vs the ported LS6 TB which came with that one.

What are you trying to achieve in HP/TQ? I'm at 530rwhp on a conservative tune. The only parts that are not stock on/in the motor are valve springs and a 2001+ intake manifold.
An LS6 manifold is a firm decision for the single piece construction not failing wit boost use. I would make use of the ported LS6 tb which came with matched intake except that purchasing a second C5 has left me with the question of the BBK tb vs stock now.
when they were first introduced there were several tuning issues with the TB, since then tuning software had had numerous upgrades and I have heard the wok well with proper tuning.
