Agree with Mr Black & Merv....no need to be intimidated by wiring. I've been through the knock-sensor thing a few times on LS motors. Usually replace with Delphi brand sensors that seem to last.
just fyi....there are some workarounds if one or both sensors fail on the LS...without having to take the manifold off.
Interweb search will show those...though some purists/ocd types might have an aneurism.
Ended up taking it to a shop. Guy charged me like $200 to splice into the harness, rewire some bad grounds, and fixed two vacuum lines that were missing. An HVAC, and a fuel evap line. Not throwing any codes, and I'm happy. Thanks for the help guys.
[QUOTE=the_merv;1608645541]For all that, yup. Local guy here a while back paid $400 in just labor for an Alternator change. 30 min job and 15 of that is getting the beer.
That's embarrassing...I wouldn't have told a soul I paid that.
We didn't judge, it wasn't me. The shop that did that for that high cost actually went under eventually, that was one of many high cost jobs for no reason besides greed.
