Smoke from engine bay
My 02 vert has a periodic issue of smoke coming out of the engine bay on the driver's side when it warms up. It only smokes for about 5 seconds and is done. It will not do it again for the rest of the day while driving. Seems to be more of an issue when the car sits for long periods of time. There are no liquids on garage floor. Thanks for any input!!

It is likely a fluid. Look for an oil leak, coolant hose leak or power steering leak.
Valve covers can leak and end up on a manifold and never touch the ground and just smoke.
If near the front look at the weep hole on the bottom of the water pump.
