My 2003 has a small oil leak. It leaves a small puddle on the garage floor (photo attached).. My tech pals put it on a lift and found oil on all the the spark plug wire boots. They suspect the valve covers. A local speed shop will invetsigate further next week. Has any experienced this before? It has 120,,000 pampered miles!
I had a similar issue several years ago and investigated oil additives that advertise they stop leaks. I was skeptical but found one with good reviews and decided to try it. And it worked. The product I used was TITAN oil Stop-Leak. For a minimal amount of $$ vs.taking it to a mechanic, you may want to give it a try to see if it solves your issue. I have had yearly oil changes and still no leaks.
Very difficult to diagnose with oil all over the engine. Since you are taking it to a shop for repair, let us know what you find. Everyone guessing what is wrong won't help you if you do not intend on doing the repairs yourself.
