I see these are once again available? Seems to me they weren’t for awhile.
Are they good?
I ask because I suckered for a Walbro pump Wix C5 filter kit on eBay a couple years ago for the LS1 in my son’s S10.
Neither were legit parts. No name crap. Pump failed in short order. The fuel pressure was close to correct at 55 psi running.
With the correct pump, fuel pressure is now 75 psi. Discovered after I converted to a card style MAF and had tuned the truck.
I've sourced them through reputable parts dealers, actual GM dealers, Summit, and Rock Auto
All of them seem to fail in similar fashions and deliver inconsistent pressure. Some out the gate have 66-72psi where others idle properly but lower fuel pressure with RPMs.
Well….we have a WIX on the way. If not correct, I’ll just get an adj regulator and an inline filter and do it the old fashioned way. A bit of replumbing but not bad.
Thanks

Ron
Hey, Ron. Does this mean you got that 100mm MAF to fit??
Ron, I remember talking to you before about you having a 100mm MAF sensor, but couldn't make it fit due to the long length. I assume you still have it and never did get it installed, correct? IIRC, that was more like the stock C5 MAF, but 100mm vs 85mm?
I got it in last year. Along with GM LS3 injectors.
I just didn’t post anything.
I haven’t got it to the track yet to do WOT tuning.
It’s a little crude as the Vararam lid outlet is 3.6” vs the 3.9” id of the MAF tube. But I scored another Vararam lid that I’ll modify to fit the 4” tube. I just need to figure out how to do it.
Track date for Sept 6, I’ll have it done by then.
it will do one of 3 things.
1. Go slower
2. Go faster
3. Run the same.
Ha!
Ron, IIRC you were also running the 85mm LS6 MAF, too. I'm subscribing for the new strip numbers. If it helps your 383, it should also help my 427.....
