Hello all
Hello everyone. I need some help. Finally saved enough for a used type M EBCM unit for my 98 C5 . After I installed it my codes read TCS no communication it also reads
HVAC no communication. What can I do to fix this. There are a couple more codes I'm working on but do not have them with me at the moment. Any help is much appreciated thank you.

What led you to believe the EBTCM was bad? What codes did you have? Did you have TCS "no comm" with the old EBTCM? Did the HVAC work normally before changing the EBTCM? Besides "no comm" what other codes do you have now?

Hello and thank you for your reply. My type M EBCM went out about 4 years ago. I took it out and was going to try and repair it. However the motherboard was fried beyond repair. Now I finally found one for $1500 bucks and took the old one back out and put this one in. But the traction control and ABS lights stayed on and the button did nothing so I asked around and found out how to pull my codes myself. Im not a mechanic in any way. But I've been learning lol. Anyway I pulled my codes and this is what I have.
10-PCM-P1571 HC
10-PCM-P1644 HC
THERES 4 OTHER CODES THAT pulled up at first but I reset them and they haven't came back yet, then I have
28-TCS-NO COMM.
40-BCM-BO432 HC
99-HVAC-NO COMM.
80-RFA-C2120 HC BUT THIS ONE I RESET AND IT HASNT CAME BACK YET. Im getting ready to drive it a bit and pull my codes again my A/C doesnt work thats my next project and i need to replace my relay for my blower / heater motor i think

I would be investigating your ignition switch based on the codes you have. Good luck.

im sorry for not answering everything . I didn't catch the first question. I guess you'd say it's a front mount because it's just under the power steering and between the radiator and main pullies

And i believe 97-2000 can not be fixed.

I think i found a guy that said he can make me a new board by looking at my old one. But he also said my old one was fried beyond repair. But it's a simple board to make. So now I wait but I'll still try and get this one to work also they said they tested it and it was ok. Thats all i know

I don't know what codes came up back then but my abs and traction. Control lights were on. I watched a video on how to fix it and when I took it out I realized it was different from the others and how bad it was.
