C5 alignment servcies
So, then I figured, I'll call Tony and suck it up and drive up to Gaithersburg (60 miles away) and get it done by a Corvette shop! Nope! Tony doesn't do them anymore BUT! He had a place I could go and said this is who he uses when he needs to get aligns done. Called Steve @Auto Master in Urbana MD and he is super nice and got me in next Tuesday. Told me he needs an hour to hour and a half and will get me all set up and I can wait for the car there.
His first question was, how low is your car? I said stock height and he said perfect! On the Vette's he uses the system that hangs on the tires and there has to be some room around the tires to get the hardware in to hang on the tires.
So if you are in need of an alignment, do yourself a favor and call people or go there in person to make an appointment (with your car) and don't just schedule online unless you KNOW that place can do a low car.
If you are in the NOVA/MD area and need an alignment and can't find it around you, try these guys

Look for an alignment specialty shop, and expect to pay a little more, but also expect the settings to be held pretty even side-side. Also expect that if they can't do that, they're able to tell you why.
Hands off, the car should track straight on a flat road, and the wheel should be pointed straight ahead too.
Most tire shops are in the mass-production business, and will be content with 'Accepted Industry Standards', meaning anywhere in the green is perfect.
I can set a car all 'in the green' and it'll make u turns when you let go of the wheel...
Skip the dealers for alignments, they're likely to be on the same mass production schedule.
Just my opinion...
