Worked for me as well. I honestly dont know why it is not part of the base instructions. It does not seem to have any downside, so it makes sense to take the extra 5 minutes to do and to ensure the issue is avoided. I originally followed the instructions not to and had to go back into it later after getting the fuel cut a few times.
It is! Post #13 shows the screenshot from the LMC5 instructions.
I think you meant post #15, but that is my point. It has "Optional", "Only do this if you have issues after the install", and other indications you shouldn't need to do it as part of the base install. What it doesn't say why you shouldn't go ahead and do it right away to avoid rework.
It seems the need to do this mod is more common than the text would lead one to believe.
By "base" instructions, I meant to say that it should be part of the main instructions and not an optional step.
Following up after issue resolved. We tried doing the brown wire mod on the already installed module but that didnt work. The support team finally got back to us and suggested to redo the install with a new module and apply the brown wire mod at that time. That did fix the issue. Thanks all for the suggestions.
