Help. Not starting
I had this issue just now. Battery checked, okay.
The shifter is moving easily. Looks like it's stuck in Drive gear, not allowing to start.

Could someone help me, please?
And, if it did, you couldn't drive it anyway, since it will not shift into the proper gear.
Do a search on here for broken shifter cable.

And I found only a way to replace the cable, lifting the vette and removing the muffler.. s&#t! Thank you anyway!

However, before seeing these articles, I didn't realise the cable was fragile. When I pulled it up to inspect the bushing conditions, I heard a "crack", indicating that some plastic had broken...
I had secured the end of the cable with a zip tie for now, but I don't know the extent of the damage caused when I broke the cable while pulling it up. I'll check when I open it to replace the bushing.
Thank you!

The shift cable setup was not one of GM's better engineering accomplishments.
I was reading, even Chevy and GMC trucks have the same issue, but they are easier to access and replace.
Which do you guys think is better to have access underneath in a small garage?

I think the links didn't work...Following the full links - they are still not working... I don't know how to post links here... So, here are Screenshots, sorry for my ignorance.

I use a low profile HD floor jack and jack stands I bought from Harbor Freight.
Much heavier duty than those you posted, stout enough to do jobs on my F250 as well.
Too much strength is better than too little.

I'll buy these, but for the cable replacement I preferred do it in a mechanic shop. But the guy is crazy busy. My verte is there since Friday.
