Default C5 issues

Just recent got my hands on a 1998 c5 low miles “garage kept” no issues for the first couple days till I started up put the heat on and it was freezing cold.
20 minutes into the drive still cold but passenger side was just fine. After some digging I Tried recalibrating the actuators and it got the heat to finally come to the driver side too and thought it was fixed till I tried to turn the heat down and it seemed the fan was stuck at one speed. Everything else worked perfectly so I just decided to head home then it slowed and I tried turning it up some more and it worked just fine up and down but then the heat cut back out and now it’s back to cold air on driver side and warm on the passenger side and just to clarify the temperature **** isn’t the issue. Can anyone’s head some light on what the issue is or could be ?

wouldn’t let me just reply but it’s a manual one. I’ve done some messing around with it and if I recycle the heat in the car it’ll come through the passenger and driver side just fine now it’s really got me confused

Garage kept for years = mouse habitat. Check for nesting material and junk in the fan, blend doors and ductwork.

My first thought as well.
You may have smelled evidence of it when you turned on the heat.
