Gear Oil
Is it OK to use Redline MT90 for the differential? On the side it says its a 75W-90 gear oil and that's what my parts store gave me. Last time I used the Redline 75W-90 but now they gave me this. Its also red in color vs. the regular brownish color. I sure hope I don't need to drain my diff. and replace it. The stuff sure isn't cheap ;) :cheers:

No, you should use the 75W-90. Take this stuff back. The MT90 is GL-4 and the 75W-90 is GL-5. Don't use it.

Thanks guys, I put the stuff in already so I guess I have to drain it :nonod: Could this cause the diff. to leak? I have a slight leak around the passenger side drive shaft.

The leak is a warranty fix. Common problem on C5s Take it in and let them change the fluid.
