Whistle after Vortex Install
I installed a Vortex rammer at the end of last year before I put the car in storage. I have noticed that while accelerating there is a short whistle sound from the car. It is brief and only under acceleration
Thanks, Wade

Where in the RPM range is the whistle? 2000-2300?
I have had the intake manifold replaced per the whistle TSB with the newer design and it still whistles. I also look forward to any help on this.

Yep, you are going to hear much more of the air going in the engine with the Vortex... this is normal for that air box... Compared to the Vortex, the stock setup was very quiet...

I get the same thing since I removed the top cover on my airbox. It's just more air being sucked in. :D

I've never heard this "whistle" on mine, but maybe this evening i'll listen with the radio off. More than likely it's just an audible affect of the increased air flow into the intake.

Re: Whistle after Vortex Install (Lil Red)
Whistle while you work - or in this case let the car whistle and you relax and enjoy the new air in the engine.

The Blackwing makes a similar whistle. Just more air being sucked in.
