How many ways do you want the same answer?:D
Drag racing is about traction. My beat up '88 L98 pimp slaps higher horsepower cars because it hooks and cooks. If you don't run a sticky tire, you limit your options. Any benefit of a stall converter will be lost because you won't even be able to let it flash.
