I have seen several posts asking which cam is better for the LS1, and there have been great responses. Some have given the cam specs, duration, lift and LSA. I dont know what LSA is and its effect on performance or on idle characteristics. What I remember(I think ?) is that performance will be improved by a more aggresive cam. One that has longer duration open, high lift .500 or better, what do LSA numbers mean to performance?
Also thought that valve overlap, the time that both valves are open for a fraction to begin the intake process just before all the exhaust valves are closed will have performance impact . This naturally works better at high RPM and could contribute to the Lumpy idle.
You should realy get with a tuner, check forum vendors, to help you select a cam. Power comes as a trade off to driveability. get a responce from someone who wants to please you with their expertice.

:iagree:
Talk to one of the excellent tuners on the forum, they can match you up with a cam that suits your needs.
