I scratched my passenger side **** and want to replace it - tried to pull it off, but does not seem to want to come off? Should I pull harder or???

I don't think they are designed to be removed. This is not a normal item to be taking apart. You DO NOT want to break it. A new one is like $600!

I do not have an answer either.
The A/C module is not to thick and I also think it was designed not to be taken apart...just replaced.
If you are going to try to repair something in it...make the leap and pull the center council and remove the unit.
If removed you can get leverage behind the ***** and not damage any other interior piece.
Else, not sure why you need the ***** removed.

I bought these C6 *****
The factory C5 ***** are so bland and cheap looking.
The paint on my old billet C5 ***** needed redoing and these were only 20.00
You get 4 *****
http://www.ebay.com/itm/400607341282...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
2 of them have tiny allen screws and a plastic bushing that has to be drilled out to 11/64" by holding a drill bit in a pair of vice grips and turning it by hand to whittle out the plastic.
Then push them on and tighten the allen screws with the supplied allen key.
You can get them in chrome and/or gunmetal and/or Corvette logos
