Default Exhaust question - input appreciated

I've been searching and reading past post on here but haven't really been able to find an answer to my question.

What is the best flowing and quietest exhaust for the C5?

Similiar to the SLP dual/dual for the f-body if you are familiar with that exhaust. Thanks.

best flowing and quietest at the same time- I'd guess the Z06 Ti or maybe Corsa Touring. :seeya

hehe I bet. I have Borla on my WS6 and my wife complains about the noise especially on the highway so I thought I would take her into consideration when I get a vette. :blueangel:

I have the Corsa Touring with longtubes and x-pipe with stock cats. It is quiet at cruise, louder at WOT, but no where near obnoxious. There is no resonance at all. The exhaust just sounds good all around, and is not much louder than stock unless you are at WOT.

I installed it all at the same time, so I can't tell how it would sound without the headers.

If you are looking to upgrade the exhaust for more power, don't expect more than 5 rwhp (if that) on a stock engine.

How well does stock flow?

I actually have a set of heads, a cam, and an LS6 intake ready to go on once I get a vette. (I bought the stuff for my WS6 but decided not to install it once I decided to get a vette.)

None of the exhausts on the Vette are that loud. The Vette has a very distinct awesome sounding engine with any exhaust. But you aren't going to get anything near a Mustang with Flowmasters sound that'll make you want to cover your ears.

Most websites for Borla and Corsa have little audio clips and I have the Corsa video. But I'm sure nothing will come close to hearing it in person. I think some of the members here can help you out with that.

Enjoy

Anyone know anything about the Hooker system I saw at Thunder Racing?

I know hooker was one of the most underated exhaust for f-body, it flows excellent and has a nice sound, and is not too expensive.

Do the Corsa systems for vettes have the same problem blowing mufflers as the f-body system. That seems to big a big problem right now. My neighbor even blew his Corsa on his SS. Sounds like an old redneck truck with glass packs now. Granted Corsa is replacing the muffler for him but that is just a pain to have to take it off and send it in for a new one. There are some guys that have had to replace theirs 4 times.
