Whenever I kick on the fan for the climate control it makes a loud squeeling sound like I'm sitting on a cat or something. Anyone have a problem like this and knows how to fix it?
I had that problem on my 99, it eventually went away. Not sure what was causing it but I would guess it was from something that had found it's way into the fan assembly. I would turn the fan on and off a few times and it would usually stop.
Mine eventually goes away too after it's warmed up. The colder it is outside the worse it is. So I can either be cold in the morning or listen to something screaming in my ear.
It's not much of a job to remove the blower and fan to inspect it.
There are several possibilities.
First, you could have some debris inside the HVAC case in contact with the fan causing some type of noise.
Second, you could have a bearing inside the motor that is going bad, those are serviced by replacement of the complete unit, fan and all.
Third, which could involve the second... sometimes the drain for the A/C evaporator gets plugged with debris, leaves... dirt... etc... and the water has nowhere to go, it collects inside the case and since the blower motor is the lowest point inside the case, the water collects in it and ruins the components of the motor.
You just have to remove the hush panel on the right side and take a few screws out of the blower, can't remember if those are 7mm or 5.5mm head screws.
