changing brake fluid
newbie seeking answers
seeking info on how to change brake fluid. Mine is pretty...well, yuck. please send me info on how to or direct me to good sites.

I don't remember where I read this procedure, but I did this last fall on the '99. Trying searching the archives.
1) Use a turkey baster to suck as much brake fluid as you can out of the reservoir.
2) Fill reservoir with new fluid.
3) Bleed each brake until fresh fluid appears. Refill reservoir as needed -- DO NOT LET IT RUN DRY!

I used to bleed my brakes in my 68 and Mazda. Not any more! For $30-$50, almost any shop can power-flush your fluid. To me, it's just not worth the mess, especially if the fluid leaks on my painted garage floor.

Additionally, cycle through the brakes in the following order: RR, LR, RF, LF
