After all this talk, sounds to me like in "stock" trim, all things being equal, the stick is faster. Mainly due to the fact that the A4 saps more HP from the engine. But...when you A4 guys add a torque converter, a tranny cooler, and reprogrammer, then you're quicker plus you never have to worry about missing a shift....just "stomp & steer"!! :iagree: But, where's the fun in that?? :sleep: We could train pigeons too.... :D :D :D
Do A4's go though tranny mounts?? My 89 Firbird goes through tranny mounts almost monthly..
I had the same problem when I bought my c5. I didnt know which to buy. But I dont drive it daily (mass commute), so I went with the 6-speed. But I dont have it down pat yet though.. I know a a4 can take me at this point.. Im still practicing the shift points..
