Default *NEW* intake from Vararam...

INTRODUCING THE NEW:

"WIDE MOUTH"

OPEN AIR BOX

The new Widemouth cold air intake is a true Giant Killer. This system was designed to match or beat the performance of other so-called ram air systems at a fraction of the cost and install time.

FEATURES:

Quick 10 minute installation
Offers some ram air effect at speed*
A velocity stack to improve airflow into the filter
Quick release ¼ turn screws for easy air filter maintenance
A performance guarantee

Note: This air box can be easily upgraded to full ram air specs by simply purchasing a scoop kit.

Retail to be around 200 bucks.

RG

Will this work with an existing Vararam system? I do not really see any difference between it and the lid with the B1 system.

The VR-1B is the 'all out' VR version. This WIDEMOUTH will be for folks that want 15-22 hp in a plug and play unit with no cutting nor extra cost tuning needed for great results. The tubes will be available to make this box a VR-1B...hope that helps.:)

I have been chosen as one of the two forum members by Exit 28 to test the new vara-ram wide mouth intake. I spoke with Carmen at the Vette Doctors and they will be doing the dyno work. After the test I get to keep the wide mouth for free. I can not wait to get it and get on the dyno to see the results

This looks like an underhood system.

Is there benefit, or do we have to use cold air screens?
