I changed out the stock C5 for the Z06 Air Box Lid. It was about $60.00 from West Coast Corvettes. I got the K&N for $50 from Martel Brothers Perfomance with free shipping. Car only has 1450 miles on it, and I made the change at about 383. Didn't really push it hard, but with an A4 and the 3:15 final drive, I got 27 mpg running 65-80 mph with the air on all the way to Nashville! Send me an E-mail if you want info on part numbers. You could probably get the Z06 Air Box Lid from a local Chevy dealer, and save a buck or two.

Re: C5 air box (CRVETTE)
Prior to the Blackwing, I had the '02 Z06 airlid on the car. Did notice a slight increase in response. Paid about $50 (with shipping included) from Fichtner Chevrolet.
First thing I did was put the K&N in. had it in about 6 weeks, then last week put the Z06 lid on. I don't seem to notice any improvement sotp. I have a certain freeway onramp that I "test" on. Seems to run about the same mph at mt test spot. Paid $59.95 from West Coast Corvettes.
