Default Halltech TRAP CF-New Wind Tunnel Design

Halltech TRAP CF-New Wind Tunnel Design. As some of you may know already, the Halltech Carbon Fiber Tunnel Bridge was a redesigned MAG (Cobra) but made with completely new methods and materials for a much smoother interior and stronger structure. Autoclaved at 100 PSI for hours at high temperature makes this unit structurally as strong as any Formula 1 body part and brings 20% more airflow to the C5 based on flow-bench results.

Now we have gone one step further in a completely new mold design for the bottom section of the TRAP called the Wind Tunnel. It outflows our previous plastic tunnel and brings added beauty to the complete TRAP system.

The Warhead filter is at the business end of the TRAP, which has more surface area than any other filter on the market for the C5 with over 186 sq. inches of area.

The entire system is onsale through July for $699.00 to this forum only.

It is also available in Red Kevlar for an additional charge, or Carbon Black/Blue Glass and Carbon Black/Z06 Red Glass for no additional cost. All TRAPs come with IC (Integrated Carbon) logos with your choice of Z06, Crossed Flags, or 50th Anniversary (kevlar gold color)

Congratulations on making another beautiful carbon fiber piece  . Will they be sold alone to be used in conjunction with other air filters? I would love one to use with my Blackwing. That would also make a killer package with the carbon fiber beauty covers

Yes. The Tunnel Bridge is a direct replacement for the stock airbridge/acordion connector. It flows 20% more air than the stock airbridge.

I just got back from New York state after a 3000 mile drive with the TRAP CF onboard our 2002 Z06.

We had the Tunnel Ram Air Port (Stage 2) onboard and met pouring rain through the Rocky Mountains, and literally soaked the filter for 1 hour of driving. No hydrolock, but the lack of oxygen at the top of that range made the engine run like a pig knee deep in mud, so I swapped out the Tunnel Port for the stock Corvette cover.

I recommend driving with the license plate cover (Corvette plate) during rain, even though it appears to have no adverse affects on the engine with the port open.

Mileage was 32.9 mpg, (6th gear at continuous 68 mph) and with a new additive we were testing for a company, we got 34.6 mpg, and back to 32.9 to 33 without the additive again.

We used one quart of oil at all in the 3000 miles of travel.

Hi Jim,
That info is good to know.
We had a customer into the new showroom yesterday that wants one of the Blue Carbon Fiber TRAPs,
He has a 2002 EB Z06.
Are those available now?

Say hi to Debbie. :D

It is a product called Oxytane. I am not trying to promote it at this time, but I helped this company two years ago with testing on the same car in a trip from BG to Huntington Beach. The fuel mileage went from 28.7 mpg to 31 mpg at that time. The inventor is trying to cultivate his patent and ulitmately get the product in the gasoiline we buy.

Static electricity accounts for deaths or injury every year at gas pumps. It only takes 1cc/gallon to treat the fuel.
