http://www.nology.com

It is a Dyno & Scanning package that loads into your Palm Pilot and hooks up to your OBDII Port. Fot the Dyno you give the program your veichle weight, the altitude, temperature, humidity, final drive ratio, tire size, drag and frontal footage. The computer will then calculate torque and hp while doing a torque run using whichever gear you entered the drive ratio for. I hear its pretty accurate, but I'm trying to get a little feedback from others who have used this tool.

That looks really interesting. I will be :lurk: . Hopefully we will hear from someone who has used it! 350$ is the kicker I guess.

Honestly that does look pretty cool, I've always wondered why autotap couldnt do something like that. Lets get some programmers on this task to get the autotap software we allready have to perform similar functions. :smash:

A competitor program to autotap, EASE, does give some data like a dyno, it's called delivered torque, using how much air (maf), how much fuel (injector pulse width) and rpm to give an estimated torque value. It does not pretend to give quarter mile times and speeds.

I just used the Dyno PDA for the first time today. Unfortunatly it started to rain and I couldn't get more than 2 runs.

The OBDII Scan recorder is great; I could see that my car was tuned by the previous owner. Very aggressive timing - up to 40 deg. then down to 33 deg. at WOT. No knock retard and very low Long Term Fuel No's - between -3 and +4, but usually settles at 0 to -.08.

The DYNO mode is pretty good. I figured out the final drive ratio (6.296) and ran a torque. vs. hp test. The car maxed out at 307 RWHP at 5600 RPM and 303 RWTQ at 4000 RPM.

Will do some more runs when the weather clears up. Overall, the Dyno PDA is easy to use.

I see you live in Germantown. Do you know a good tuning guy in Md.

I checked out Maryland Performance in Gaithersburg; they seem pretty good, but expensive. I haven't asked Tony from Tony's Corvette yet.

MD Perf. only uses superchips. Don't go that route. Search my old threads about it.

Tony's doesn't have a tuner yet. I went to east coast supercharging.

There is no one in maryland i would trust tuning my vette atm.

I would go to cartek or ECS up in jersey.

Good advice, thank you. I wish Tony's had a tune guy; they are a great shop.

The MD Performance guy wanted me to buy LS1 Edit and leave the car with him for 5-7 hours of Dyno time. That's just crazy.

Autotap has a delivered torque and its way off.

303 RWTQ seams kind of low/off What kind of mods? If you say stock then the 307RHHP figure doesnt look to bad.

I just ran the car in dry weather. I am getting 318RWHP @ 5500 RPM and 322RWTQ @ 4100 RPM. When I ran yesterday, I got a lot of wheel slippage because of the wet pavement.

My car has a Vortex Air Rammer & Power Duct, Bassani X-Pipe, & Borla Exhaust. The PCM is also programmed with very agressive timing (done by previous owner).

I was also told by the makers of the PDA Dyno to use 20% efficiency loss so 307RWHP is equivalent to 368HP. Today in with dry cooler weather I got 318RWHP or 380HP. My guess is with the mods I have, I'm probably running at 365-370HP. I didn't tune the PCM so I don't know what effect it is having on the mods.
