Sounds like a great project! Please give us all (less creative types) a how-to lesson together with shopping list. :yesnod: Can't wait for some pics & vid, if possible.
Had to spend some time with the Wife after two weeks of Garage time (installing MagnaCharger and Start Button) I will take some pictures later today in and out of the car- I am taking it out to install a ground so that the Start Engine lights up at night.
I used an RC servo to power the door but rans wires straight to the moter as I did not have the time to fool with a timing circuit to control the servo. I originally was using micro switchs to limit travel but found they were not necessary. Start Button was pretty easy once I figured how to fool the PCM-
PS Key still goes in and is turned to On- I may add a hidden valet switch to revert back to normal operation
I will post full info once I get the photos ( I am going to get some digital video as well)- could be done for under $100 (including switch and servo)
I will post complete details later- I am using an up and down switch- small plack momentary push buttons- I will eventually put in a circuit to open/close with the same button- but thats for another day.

Hey! Great idea..... Some minivans have automatic rear liftgates. Maybe some of the parts could be used for the Vette's rear hatch? Anyone out there talented enough to pull these ideas off? :lurk:
