Just trying to hit a nerve. I don't think I will have to worry about the purchase of a ferarri in the near future. I like some of them outside but dude, what is the deal with these interiors?
Okay, I'm not usually impressed with mods, but this one is fantastic!
I've always loved the start button on my Triumph...and while I think the delay in the time after you turn the key and the door opens would be annoying at certain times, I think it looks great and you could make a lot of $$$ selling kits with instructions.
But how about starting with the trunk?
Would be nice if you push “trunk open” that it would rise entirely by itself.
(And close too, maybe. With a little push on a button inside the trunk.)
For my next mod I'm going to go all out and attach a hand crank behind my front license plate. Of course, the plate will automatically hinge up by use of THE CLAPPER! :lolg:
Just for fun I installed an S2000 Engine start button where my cig. lighter would normally go- for even more fun I motorized the ashtray door- it goes up and down-
What advantage does a start button have over just turning the key? I don't get why since you still have to insert a key, you can't just turn it. It seems to me this just makes it like a motorcycle.
Just like everyone else I have an opinion... I think you shouldn't have to push a button to open the door. When you insert the key and turn it to the start position the door should open. Then maybe a timer after the motor has started to close the door.

just a thought. Congratulations on a nice mod.
I first wired the door to open on start- but decided I liked playing with the up down feature-I may allow for both modes in future upgrades of the servo control.
And BTW I also enjoy hitting the start button on my V-Rod -

I will try and get the instructions together for the mod his weekend- at least the start button part.
