headers are killing my starter
My car was slow starting so I brought it to the dealer. Turns out the heat from the header melted the plastic shroud and heat soaked the starter, rendering it useless. I am going to put some header wrap on to control the heat.

What headers do you have?
Who did the install?
How long have you had them on?

Exactly the reason I went with the Swaintech coating on my StainlessWorks headers. You might want to look into it. Talk to MattG.
Good luck!

Re: headers are killing my starter (ICULUKN-C5)
My 68 had the same problem, but the literature that ca,me with the Doug Thorley headers specifically warned against wrapping them. Apparently, the internal heat increases to a point where the steel can develope cracks. Always check with the manufacturer before wrapping or coating headers.
