How do you see the fresh Mibile-1 oil on the stick? The stuff is so clear, I can't see it on mine. Changed the oil, jacked up the rear, put in a little over 6 1/2 qts. Wuth the rear jacked, a lot more oil came out. Does it take more than 6 1/2 with the rear jacked?? Thanks.

What????? NO. The capacity of the crankcase is 6.5 qts regardless of the configuration of the body of the car.
Just because you get a little more oil out by raising the back doesn't mean you can put more oil in. lower the car to the ground and make sure it's level, then just fill to the full line.
6 1/2 qts. should do it! I have to take my dip stick outside in the sun to see the level, when the oil is fresh. Tip: always check your oil in a consistant manner; i.e., cold, or warm, after it sits 5 minutes following shut-down, after standing over night, etc. The new sticks have a hole at the "full" point. If yours does not, take a piece of sand paper and scuff the metal up to the proper place. This will make it easier to see. :)

Or drill a small hole in the dipstick as I did. It works great!
if you are checking when the oil is hot make sure the dip stick is cold by putting it in cold water first. the oil will stick better i check my oil after leaving the car set over night with the dip stick out on the bench, that way the oil you dragged up the tube will have run back down and not give you a false reading:chevy :chevy
