I put a 175 stat on mine with a coolant bypass. I also lowered the temp
that my cooling fans come on to 180. Now it rarely goes over 190. :yesnod:

Nothing wrong with those temps. Forget about it. The people in the service dept will think you are crazy.

Believe me - that is normal for Vette. With over 300K on mine, I can tell you that years of running in that heat range didn't do anything to destroy the engine. :steering:

You might want to check the wiring on your fans to assure that there both working..I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a broken fan wire.
Only one fan was working , once we diagonsed the problem my temps went from 220 down to 190 .

Good Luck !

Wouldnt a broken fan or fan wire cause an error code? Cant believe the programming/sensors wouldnt catch it
